Cornwall Wedding Phoography at Trelissick Gardens // Becky & Andrew
Becky and Andrew’s wedding at Trelissick Gardens in Cornwall was truly magical. A wedding photographer’s delight!
This day was truly magical! A fairytale wedding in Trelissick Gardens in Cornwall with stunning views over the Fal estuary.
I met the girls at Becky’s mum’s Cornish Cottage for the bridal preparation. Such a nice relaxed morning with the girls and Becky’s little daughter aka flower girl Sennen is truly adorable!
Becky and Andrew live in Germany and did the legal part of their marriage there so we ventured to Trispen church for a blessing and to Trelissick for the reception. It’s my first time shooting a wedding there and I must say it is gorgeous! Especially when the late afternoon sun comes out and floods the place with magical light to play with, a wedding photographer’s delight!
The evening started promising with grandma showing off her dance moves and even the little ones joining in.
Becky and Andrew, thanks so much for having me there to capture your wedding day at this stunning location. I hope you like this preview.
“Alexa captured our day perfectly. From start to finish she was fantastic, she was professional and quick to respond to my many questions. The day ran smoothly thanks to Alexa’s professionalism and great work ethic. You can see how incredibly passionate Alexa is about her work and always wanting to get the right shot, on a few occasions she laid on the floor and leant through windows to get the perfect shot. For us, getting the right photographer was one of the most important aspects of the wedding. The day goes by so quickly and the photos mean you can relive the day over and over and something we can share with our nearest and dearest. I thought it was a lovely touch for Alexa to share sneak peeks on social media and the preview was a lovely surprise and our photos are beautiful and we waited only a few weeks for all of them. One thing that drew me to Alexa was how she caught things in the moment and didn’t stage or pose anything other than a few of our couples portrait, but even then she asked us to just be natural with each other, have a kiss, look at each etc, she made us both feel very at ease. You wouldn’t know she was there most of time, she blended in well and I cannot sing her praises enough. Thank you a million times and for anyone looking for a photographer, Alexa Poppe is your girl. One of my favourite photos of the day, me and my beautiful daughter, a memory I will remember for ever you captured the moment perfectly”

Hannah & Joel // a summer wedding The Green Cornwall
Hannah and Joel’s magical summer wedding at The Green Cornwall. My first ever ceremony captured in the rustic barn, oh so gorgeous!
Oh so gorgeous, this wedding at The Green in Cornwall! The weather, the insanely good looking couple, a lovely bunch of friends and family, stylish decorations, tears and laughter during the speeches and to top its all, my first ever ceremony I photographed in the Rustic Barn. I have photographed weddings at The Green since years but never had the opportunity, so here we go finally! I’m just slightly sad I couldn’t make it a full set as they have only booked me until the speeches. I would have loved to capture the dance images for this one, but hey..
Hannah and Joel, you are the most wonderful couple, anyone can see how deeply in love you are and it was just such a magical day. Thank you for having me along to tell your story. xxx

John & Niamh // Roscarrock Farm Wedding Photography Cornwall
Niamh and John’s Outdoor wedding with stunning sea views at Roscarrock Farm in Cornwall
I’m stoked to have had the pleasure to photograph John and Niamh’s wedding at Roscarrock farm, it has been a year since I worked at this stunning venue. Rosarrock is one of the oldest settled farms in Cornwall and is listed in the Domesday book, since these times it has only been farmed by 4 families dating back to the 14th century. It is available for exclusive hire with beautiful walled gardens and sea views, nestled in a quiet valley near Port Isaac in Cornwall.
I photographed Niamh’s brothers wedding at The Eden Project a few years back. He decided to surprise his sister with a family photoshoot for Christmas. After a failed attempt on a cold winter’s day with strong northerly winds back in February we re-scheduled the shoot and headed out to Crantock beach in early spring. I love the results. And you can see them here. At first meeting John asked me if I could shoot their wedding and I was so pleased I still had the date free as I knew this one would be a stunner!
The ceremony was held outdoors with distant sea views as a backdrop and a handcrafted wooden arch decorated with greens and seashells as a centrepiece. Niamh’s friend has done an awesome job decorating the rest of the venue with DIY materials. Homemade bunting mixed with seashells, hanging planters and I think they collected every single vintage glassware in Cornwall for the table’s centrepieces! There was a gorgeous ‘garden theme’ running through their decorations and the place looked stunning full of personal touches.
Ben from Woodfired Canteen cooked some delicious food on his BBQs and when I heard he will be the caterer for the day, it was just the tip of the iceberg. I love his food!!!
They were blessed with sunny weather and the Irish really know how to throw a party. As soon as the band started playing the dance floor was filled with madness.
Niamh and John, thanks for having me photograph your gorgeous wedding. What a corker of a day!
Here is your preview, I hope you enjoy it.

Nat & Terry // Wedding Photography at The Green Cornwall
Nat and Terry’s wedding at The Green Cornwall filled with good vibes all the way..
Nat and Terry wedding at The Green Cornwall back in may was simply awesome and positive vibes were running throughout the day. The kids were enjoying the space and garden games and were running riot all day. Everyone else mingled in between bar and outdoors, enjoying the good weather, even though a bit breezy at times. Nat and Terry were just so relaxed and just themselves on our couple portrait walk through the woods, it always helps when couples can just be themselves and have fun during the shoot, and saying that, most people enjoy a little time for themselves away from the hustle of the wedding. Well, with me being there somewhere hiding in the bushes to get the shots!
The evening started promising with the Motown Pirates playing some funky tunes and filling the dancefloor rapidly and old and young alike throwing shapes.
A day when everything just ran smoothly apart from Harry, their little terrier, eating my sandwich out of my camera bag during the bridal preparations. I thought I was going mad, I looked everywhere for it! Well at least I got to enjoy the delicious food prepared by the talented caterers of The Green later in the day.
Another fantastic day I had the honour of photographing and it was just so good that I yet again couldn’t make a smaller selection of my favourites. So here you go, a rather large preview.

Andrea & Jack // Lower Barns Cornwall Elopement Photography
Andrea and Jack’s elopement at Lower Barns Boutique Bed and Breakfast in Cornwall. A scorcher of a day with just their little ones..
Andrea and Jack eloped to Lower Barns in Cornwall on the 22nd of may. They decided for an intimate day with just their two children and couldn’t have picked a better day, it was a scorcher! Sadly Jack picked up a bug from his little boy and felt sick, what a shame, I felt so sorry for them, with everything else being so perfect. Andrea really wanted to incorporate some of the beautiful Cornish Coast into her photos, son gladly we still made it to Caerhays beach. I just hope he felt better later in the evening to enjoy their delicious food prepared by the lovely Lower Barns team.
Here is your preview Andrea and Jack, I hope you like it!

Helen & Ed // Mount Pleasant Ecological Park Cornwall Wedding Photography
Helen and Ed’s festival style outdoor wedding at Mount Pleasant Ecological Park in Cornwall…
It has been a while since I photographed a wedding at Mount Pleasant Ecological Park in Porthtowan. I think at least 3 years! So much has changed since then, they have a great cafe there now with delicious locally sourced food and excellent coffees. Oh yes, a venue always gets some extra bonus points form me if there is good coffee to keep me going…
Add some sunshine, a bunch of fun friends and family, a gorgeous couple and some great suppliers and you get the perfect wedding day. Helen and Ed are keen Triathletes and it has been said that they are hardly seen without their wetsuits on. The sea means a lot to them, so we ventured to the nearby beach for some couple portraits and a paddle in the sea to cool down..
When we came back everyone enjoyed the sunshine and played garden games, a real relaxed festival style wedding kind of feel. This place is just made for a day like this kind of celebration! I would have loved to stay into the evening and see the band playing but I was only booked for half a day. So no getting ready images either, which is a shame as I always feel the story isn’t quite complete..
Helen and Ed, you were fantastic. I absolutely loved capturing your wedding day and would do it all over again any time!
Here is a rather large preview. I just couldn’t help myself to make it smaller…

Micala & Kevin // Lower Barns Cornwall Elopement Photography
Micala and Kevin’s Lowerbarns elopement. A true ‘runaway wedding’ on the Southcoast of Cornwall…
I do love an elopement wedding, they are so special and intimate, even better if it’s at one of my favourite Elopement venues Lower Barns Boutique Bed and Breakfast on the Cornish Southcoast!
Micala and Kevin decided to have a true ‘runaway wedding’ with just the two of them and didn’t tell their family and friends until the next day. The Ceremony was held in the cosy ‘Love Shack’ , it started off quite drizzly, but when the weather brightened up we ventured to Caerhays beach for some couple photos. The rain stopped, but it couldn’t have been windier, I love a bit of wind though as it makes the images more dynamic and can add a bit of drama. Just before we headed back, the sun came out just for a couple of minutes and added some great light for the last few photos! I think it’s a great set and the two were so natural in front of the camera considering they don’t like their photo taken..
Micala and Kevin, I hope you had a fab evening after I left and you got to use the hot tub a little more ;-)
Here is a small preview for you, I hope you like it!

Claire & Andy // Trevenna Wedding Photography, a scorcher of a day!
When you’re preparing for the worst stormy weather and get your wellies and umbrellas ready for your wedding day in Cornwall and you wake up in the morning of your special day and the sun smiles in your face…
When you’re preparing for the worst stormy weather and get your wellies and umbrellas ready for your wedding day in Cornwall and you wake up in the morning of your special day and the sun smiles in your face. The weather gods really were in favour for Claire and Andy! Everything just came together on this magical spring day wedding, a fun bunch of people, beautiful sunshine, a stunning venue in the heart of Cornwall, friendly and super helpful staff, a wedding cake made by Andy himself, beautiful flowers, great music, good food and most of all lots of fun, laughter and love.
I had a pleasure being there to tell this story. Andy and Claire, what a scorcher of a day, it couldn’t have been any better!

Becky & Jonathan // Trevenna Barns Wedding Photography
Becky & Jon married at Trevenna Barns in the heart of Cornwall late march. It felt like summer did come early for this stunning sunny day. And I do love a military wedding, these uniforms!
It’s always a bonus when the sun comes out for a winter wedding, well it’s late winter and in recent years I had more sunny weddings in March than in August here in Cornwall. And it’s extra special as it was my first outdoor ceremony this year! Becky and Jon, you were so lucky, what a day for your winter wedding at Trevenna Barns in Cornwall…
I was only hired for half of it, so ca 5 hours and must admit I was sad to not get the whole story for this one covered!
Here are a few of my favourites. I hope you like them…

Layla & Simon // Wedding Photography at The Green Cornwall
Layla and Simon’s small winter wedding at The Green Cornwall. A bit overcast as you expect this time of year, after all it was just end of march, but I like the moody atmosphere it can create..
Layla and Simon had a small wedding at The Green Cornwall late march. As you would expect that time of year the weather was rather changeable but mild. Although I quite like the overcast weather here in Cornwall it can create a moody and sometimes mystical atmosphere and you don’t have to fight harsh shadows caused by bright midday sunlight. The day was nice and relaxed and I admired Layla’s gorgeous wedding dress and her overall look, just so stunning! It definitely makes my job as a wedding photographer easier when the couple is as good looking and relaxed as Layla and Simon.
I was only booked for 3 hours so you won’t see the whole story, but I’m pleased we got quite a bit covered and I’m excited to show you a small preview here.
