Cornwall Seaside Wedding at Talland Bay Hotel // Chris & Jo
Chris and Jo’s Seaside Wedding at the eclectic and stylish Talland Bay Hotel on the Cornish Southcoast
It’s been a while sine I last photographed a wedding at Talland Bay Hotel. With it’s stylish eclectic interior and landscaped gardens overlooking Talland Bay on the South Cornwall Coast it’s a real hidden gem. Jo and Chris were looking for something different for their wedding and didn’t like the corporate feel a lot of wedding venues offer. So they started to look for a Boutique Hotel in Cornwall where you can get married too and found Talland Bay, the perfect venue when you look for something stylish and a little different.
They were blessed with a beautiful sunny autumn day and we made the most out of the stunning gardens and afternoon light for the photos straight after the ceremony.
Meanwhile Damian Surr from Ginger Magic wowed the guests with his amazing tricks whilst The Beat London were playing an acoustic set followed by some great dance tunes in the early evening…
A great day to document and I’m super pleased to share some of my favourite shots with you here.

Unposed. Unrushed. Unfiltered.
Documentary wedding photography that captures the intimacy, emotion, and quiet beauty of your day.
Moments over poses. I focus on storytelling rather than staged, artificial poses. This approach captures raw, unscripted emotions and genuine interactions as they naturally unfold, offering a true representation of the day’s atmosphere—not just how it looked, but how it felt…

It’s your day so do what you want! It’s hard I get it, guest lists, kids or no kids, are dogs welcome, should I invite that auntie and uncle I haven’t seen in years, should I hire a wedding car …But life is short and traditions are there to be broken. Do what you feel like doing and not what you think is expected!
I curated some tips to help you make the most out of your wedding day and photography…
A beautiful autumnal Wedding at The Green in Cornwall.
Beacon Crag on the coast of Porthleven is the perfect spot for an elopement or small wedding on the coast of Cornwall. Relaxed intimate weddings always suit my style as a documentary style wedding and elopement photographer in Cornwall - making the most of scenery and natural light, to capture the celebrations and tell the story with no posing or anything contrived, just real moments…
Anita and Alan’s stunning elopement at the unique and quirky Lower Barns in Cornwall
Hannah & Gerard’s stunning wedding at Nancarrow Farm. Filled with sunshine, laughter, chicken poo on wedding dress, maypole dancing, beautiful people, great food, maypole dancing, more dancing and overall great vibes!
A beautiful spring wedding at Tredudwell Manor, Cornwall. It was very emotional to say the least and I feel truly honoured to witness moments like this and capture memories for them. It reminds me what wonderful job I have.

When searching for your wedding photographer, you’ve probably fallen in love with a particular wedding photography style — whether that’s documentary, editorial, film-inspired, or something with a fine art edge. Choosing a style you love is important, but beyond the aesthetic, have you thought about which moments from your wedding day you’ll want to relive forever?
