Wedding Photographer Falmouth Cornwall, Trefusis Estate // Poppy & Alex
Poppy and Alex didn’t let the Cornish Mizzle spoil their day. A beautiful marquee wedding at Trefusis Estate near Falmouth overlooking the Fal Estuary.
Poppy and Alex were married in Falmouth at King Charles Church. It’s right in the middle of the high street and with the wedding being in the middle of busy summer season they had quite a few spectators!
The reception was held at the beautiful Trefusis Estate in a stunning vintage style marquee overlooking the Fal Estuary. Hazel Parsons managed everything and made sure all was running smoothly. It was great working with her again, it’s been a while…
Unfortunately it was a pretty overcast day with showers, but it didn’t spoil the atmosphere and spirit of the day. Nevertheless the Cornish mizzle, it was a wonderful day to capture and I’m pleased to show you how even a rainy day can be the best day ever!

Documentary wedding photography that captures the intimacy, emotion, and quiet beauty of your day.
Moments over poses. I focus on storytelling rather than staged, artificial poses. This approach captures raw, unscripted emotions and genuine interactions as they naturally unfold, offering a true representation of the day’s atmosphere—not just how it looked, but how it felt…

It’s your day so do what you want! It’s hard I get it, guest lists, kids or no kids, are dogs welcome, should I invite that auntie and uncle I haven’t seen in years, should I hire a wedding car …But life is short and traditions are there to be broken. Do what you feel like doing and not what you think is expected!
I curated some tips to help you make the most out of your wedding day and photography…
A beautiful autumnal Wedding at The Green in Cornwall.
Beacon Crag on the coast of Porthleven is the perfect spot for an elopement or small wedding on the coast of Cornwall. Relaxed intimate weddings always suit my style as a documentary style wedding and elopement photographer in Cornwall - making the most of scenery and natural light, to capture the celebrations and tell the story with no posing or anything contrived, just real moments…
