Alex & Zachary's beautiful cornish wedding at Carlyon Bay Hotel
Alex and Zachary's classic style cornish wedding at Carlyon Bay Hotel
Alex and Zachary's wedding day had it all, from sunny glimpses to blustery showers, a typical cornish summer's day. I arrived in the bridal suite only 1 hour before the ceremony because Alex only wanted just a few final bridal prep shots. The talented Sally Orchard was doing her magic and everyone looked stunning.
The weather was to our favour and it was dry for an outdoor ceremony. I'm so pleased for Alex and Zach as that's what they really wanted so much to be married outside. And it makes my job much easier, I love working with natural light.
I enjoyed capturing the day for them, a celebration in classic style.
I'm still not sure what I enjoyed more though the golf buggy ride to the private beach for the couple portraits or to capture the hilarious facial impressions during the ceilidh dance..

Patience & Danny's elopement at The Scarlet, Cornwall
Patience and Danny's elopement style wedding at The Scarlet Hotel in Mawganporth, Cornwall..
Danny and Patience are from Norfolk and spend a lot of their holidays in Cornwall. They love Mawganporth beach and got engaged here. So it was all natural to plan their wedding near this beautiful north cornish coast. They decided to have a small intimate wedding at The Scarlet with just 10 of their closest friends and family. The day was blessed with sunshine and high temperatures for late april, it couldn't have been better.. Here is a small selection of my favourite photos from the day. And wait till you see the DIY cake, cuteness alert!
Leigh & Karl's elegant wedding in Talland Bay Hotel, Cornwall
Leigh and Karl's elegant coastal wedding in Talland Bay Hotel in Cornwall..
Leigh and Karl were married on the 5th of November in Talland Bay Hotel near Looe in Cornwall. They've chosen the boutique hotel as they love to spend their holidays here. When I arrived at the hotel eralier in the year to meet them both for their pre wedding consultation, I immediately knew why they had fallen in love with this place! With it's eclectic style and overlooking the south cornish coast it serves as a perfect wedding venue for a smaller celebration and for a photographer it really has a wow factor, wherever you look there are some new features to discover and photograph. They were blessed with a beautiful sunny late autumn day and I'm pleased we could take most of the portrait shots in the hotel's stunning gardens overlooking the sea. The speeches were great and made me laugh out loud at times, especially when Karl received his best man's present, a portrait of Karl edited into a James Bond poster printed on canvas. Someone showed off their photoshop skills here! The hotel has a nice intimate and calm ambience to it and the meal was delicious to say the least, not a surprise for an award winning chef! Thanks again for looking after me.
Here is a collection of my favourites from the day. Wow and look at them wedding shoes, my favourites this year so far!

Laura & James rainy wedding in St Ives, Cornwall
James and Laura show us that even a rainy wedding by the beach can be fun..
It rained all day on Jame's and Laura's wedding day in St Ives, Cornwall in late november. However it didn't stop us venturing down the Porthminster beach for some couple portraits equipped with umbrellas and several rain protectors including some waterproof walking trousers for my camera gear. Congratulations Laura & James! Thanks for being so easy going and making these portraits possible.. More from this wedding coming very soon..

Ann and Simon were married in style at the beautiful Boutique seaside hotel Tresanton in St Mawes, Cornwall. The hotel allows dogs at your wedding which was really important to Ann and Simon, because Lucy their little cockapoo plays a special role in their lives.
The Roseland is one of Cornwall's most beautiful spots and I always get excited when I can photograph a wedding there. Here are a few of my favourites from our little walk down the beach. More from the day coming very soon..

Congratulations Erika & Rewan @The Alverton Hotel, Truro, Cornwall
Erika & Rewan's spring themed wedding @The Alverton, Truro...
Erika and Rewan were married at The Alverton Hotel in Truro, Cornwall, on the 19th of march. Their wedding was just one week before easter and had a lovely easter/spring theme running through the decorations. It was the coldest and only overcast day of a good run of sunny spring weather, which was a shame for the portraits. However, I'm pleased with the results and respect to Erika who braved the cold in her wedding dress! I even found some daffodils in the hotels gardens to frame a shot and incorporate the easter theme. Here are some of my favourites from our portrait shoot...
Congratulations Sarah&Aaron, a winter wedding @Carlyon Bay
a sunny winter wedding in Cornwall..
March/winter weddings seem to get more popular these days. Especially if the weather turns out like for Sarah and Aaron's wedding at Carlyon Bay Hotel early march. It was so sunny that we had to find a bit of shade for the group shots in the hotel gardens. If you'd like to get inspired for your winter wedding in Cornwall, I've posted some of my favourite shots of the day on my facebook page.
