I don’t often get the opportunity to photograph two brides, so I’m super excited to share this same sex wedding at The Green Cornwall with you. Lizzie and Kate were looking for a natural, relaxed style wedding photographer to document their day and eventually found me. They were a pleasure to work for, both gorgeous and humble human beings, making me feel so welcome throughout the day, I feel truly honoured to have spend their special day with them!

I will post a decent write up about the day when the season has calmed down for me a little, but for now, here is a little preview for you

Micro Wedding Photography Porthtowan Cornwall // Robyn + Amy

Robyn and Amy asked me if I could take some photos of them after their registry office ceremony on their favourite cornish beach, Porthtowan. They weren’t too fussed about having their ceremony photographed but rather wanted a couple of hours with me taking some relaxed photos of them and their friends on the beach afterwards.

I was a bit worried how it would turn out as the day started rather stormy with no breaks in the rain in sight. I ventured down anyway, finding shelter at the Blue Bar. I was waiting for them half an hour loosing hope they would turn up. When they finally arrived they told me they had some problems at the registry office. I guess the slight delay was meant to be as the clouds broke and the sun came out for an hour, just in time for our photo session! And how beautiful is the light just before or after rain, especially in autumn!

What a pleasure to meet you, Amy and Robyn! You and your gang were absolute stars and I had a great time documenting a brief time of your very special day…champagne was flowing en masse, I’m sure you enjoyed your wedding meal, ha, ha!

Sarah & Kat's Elopement at the Scarlet Hotel in Mawganporth

Sarah and Kat eloped to Cornwall on May the 3rd. They've chosen the Scarlet Hotel because Mawganporth is one of their favourite places and The Scarlet is dog friendly. They brought their adorable guide dog with them who also did a great job as the ring bearer. Originally planned as an elopement with just the three of them they decided to bring just a few of their besties and parents along with them to celebrate in style. The ceremony was very special with lots of laughter and good vibes. 

After a few bubbles and canapés we ventured down the beach for some more photos. They did great with their choice of two wedding dresses in opposite complimenting colours. I think they look great in the photos.. 

I only stayed with them for 2.5 hours but I'm sure they had a great evening with delicious food at The Scarlet and enjoyed their mini moon week in Cornwall.

Congratulations Laura & Jo at St Ives Harbour Hotel

This is my first same sex wedding I've shot and I can't tell you how much i was looking forward to shoot two brides on their wedding day! Laura and Jo were married on the 24th of October in St Ives. Unfortunately it never stopped raining that day, but St Ives still delivers beautiful light for some couple shots on the beach and I'm pleased Laura and Jo braved the weather equipped with a bright pink heart shaped umbrella and some converse trainers..
