Claire & Andy // Trevenna Wedding Photography, a scorcher of a day!

When you’re preparing for the worst stormy weather and get your wellies and umbrellas ready for your wedding day in Cornwall and you wake up in the morning of your special day and the sun smiles in your face. The weather gods really were in favour for Claire and Andy! Everything just came together on this magical spring day wedding, a fun bunch of people, beautiful sunshine, a stunning venue in the heart of Cornwall, friendly and super helpful staff, a wedding cake made by Andy himself, beautiful flowers, great music, good food and most of all lots of fun, laughter and love.

I had a pleasure being there to tell this story. Andy and Claire, what a scorcher of a day, it couldn’t have been any better!

a picture book summer wedding at Carbis Bay Hotel in Cornwall. Or some may call it the Cornish Riviera!  Here is a 1 image preview..

I finally got round to go through all the images and here is a selection of my favourites of a stunning day with a beautiful couple, I loved every part of it!

Congratulations Holly & Chris, @StIves, Cornwall

I love it when the sun comes out in St Ives, it could just be anywhere in the world: white sand and lush torquoise seas..Holly and Chris were blessed with a sunny wedding day at St Ives Harbour Hotel. I just love it when St Ives does 'it's thing'.. no further words needed..Here are a few of my favourites from our couple beach shoot.

Andy & Carly's wedding @Lusty Glaze, a few highlights..

I met Carly just before she left the Headland Hotel with her dad to drive down to Lusty Glaze where they had their ceremony and reception. By their relaxed vibe I could already tell that it would be an amazing day to shoot. The late September day was blessed with sunshine and high temperatures and everything came together on their day. Carly and Andy were a pleasure to work with and didn't mind 'getting their feet wet' and we had a great laugh taking the portraits down the beach. They were hoping for a sunset photo since I first met them for their wedding consultation and they were rewarded: the cornish coast delivered and we had the most beautiful sunset over Newquay headland.  I left soon after as I was only booked for 7hours, but I'm sure the dancing went on till late in the night... What a day! 

Olivia & Jonathan's sunny april wedding in Rock, Cornwall

Olivia and Jonathan were married in St Minver church and had their reception at Porthilly Farm in marquee situated right next to the Camel river estuary. I met Olivia and her bridesmaids at her grandma's house in Rock for the bridal preparations. There was a lot of laughter, bubbles and love in the air and you could just get a glimpse of the marquee from the house's beautiful view over the estuary. At St Minver church, unfortunately the vicar wasn't the most helpful and told me I was just allowed to take photos from the back. I improvised with help of the friendly church warden and the piano player to put up some  ladders in the storage section separated from the front part of the church by a huge wall. This way I could at least get a glimpse of the couple from the front standing on some wonky ladders.. after all who wants to see their backs on all the photos!) standing on some wonky ladders.. 

On the way to the reception we stopped at Porthilly beach for a few couple shots and then made our way to the sun flooded field for the reception where I took some group shots and captured the atmosphere. Everyone enjoyed the beautiful early spring sunshine and I'm sure they had a great night..
