Debbie & Tom's Intimate Summery Elopement at Lowerbarns in Cornwall
Debbie and Tom's summery elopement at Lower Barns Boutique Bed and Breakfast in Cornwall..
I was meaning to post this beautiful summery elopement since ages! My workload didn't allow me to update my blog with all the stunning weddings I shot this season, but I finally can make a start with the posting.
Debbie and Tom eloped to Cornwall late august on a beautiful sunny late summer's day at lower barns boutique bed and breakfast. They only brought their parents, their little daughter and beautiful greyhound with them to celebrate their special day in an intimate circle. It couldn't have been a more summery day, so we decided to make the most out of it and ventured down the beach for some couple portraits. Unfortunately the tide was so high that there wasn't much beach left and the few square meters of sand were filled with tourists, so not the ideal scenario for a photoshoot. I knew how much Debbie and Tom wanted some coastal photos though, so we improvised. It was a bit of a walk up the cliff path to get to the field overlooking the beach and we had to avoid some sheep poo, but it was worth it!
And to make the day even better, their daughter picked me a little wild flower bouquet to take home with me! What a sweet, personal day to capture, one I will definitely always remember..
Talking about flowers, the wedding flowers provided by the talented Marie Owen from This Rugged Coast were absolutely beautiful!! One of my favourites this year..

Lynsey & Ricky's Cool Colourful Boho Style Wedding at Lowerbarns in Cornwall
Lynsey and Ricky's Boho style wedding at Lowerbarns was filled with fun, laughter, good vibes and true love. They had a humanist ceremony..
Wow! I can't tell you how much I loved shooting this small intimate wedding with such a fun bunch of people and inspiring place :-) Lynsey and Ricky had their wedding their way with a humanist ceremony Lower Barns Boutique B&B and Elopement Weddings in Cornwall. Even though the forecast wasn't so promising, with the luck of the Irish the sun came out just long enough to say 'I do'. This venue really fitted their style, bright, bold and happy. My favourites were the sunflower bouquets by Kelly Ann's Flower Barn and the off white boho style bridesmaids dresses. I think I've never seen all in white bridesmaids.. they were styling' it!
I stayed with them for 5 hours, a beautiful afternoon filled with fun, good vibes, laughter and true love.

Patience and Danny's elopement style wedding at The Scarlet Hotel in Mawganporth, Cornwall..
Danny and Patience are from Norfolk and spend a lot of their holidays in Cornwall. They love Mawganporth beach and got engaged here. So it was all natural to plan their wedding near this beautiful north cornish coast. They decided to have a small intimate wedding at The Scarlet with just 10 of their closest friends and family. The day was blessed with sunshine and high temperatures for late april, it couldn't have been better.. Here is a small selection of my favourite photos from the day. And wait till you see the DIY cake, cuteness alert!

Do what you feel like doing and not what you think is expected!

When searching for your wedding photographer, you’ve probably fallen in love with a particular wedding photography style — whether that’s documentary, editorial, film-inspired, or something with a fine art edge. Choosing a style you love is important, but beyond the aesthetic, have you thought about which moments from your wedding day you’ll want to relive forever?
