Elopement Photography at Lower Barns in Cornwall // Nicky & Joe
Nicky and Joe finally got married early march at Lower Barns in Cornwall after postponing their wedding day twice. They decided to have an elopement with not too much fuss and make it a weekend get away for just the two of them and their adorable little pooch.
More and more couples opt for a low key wedding. Elopements are a great alternative to a big wedding. You can enjoy your day your way, there is less planning involved, you won’t have to be in the spotlight or follow strict timelines but rather enjoy more time together. Nicky and Joe did just that. They also didn’t want the typical beach portraits and opted for a visit to St Austell Brewery instead to enjoy burgers and a beer, they said it’s just more like them…when I heard this, I knew it’s going to be a great day to photograph. I like things a little different! And what a lovely pair to work with…
Here is a small selection of my favourites…

Wedding Photography at The Green Cornwall // Sophie & Benedict
Sophie and Benedict’s festive winter wedding at The Green in Cornwall.
Oh I love a winter wedding especially close to Christmas time, there is just a special festive vibe in the air. Sophie and Benedict had an extension to their Christmas holidays with their very special day at The Green in Cornwall. They were supposed to get married last year and I’m pleased they could finally tie the knot. And weather wise, they were blessed with a dry winter’s day, December was definitely a better month to get married than August or October last year!
I met Sophie in the new bridal suite for her bridal preparation images, it was super busy in there so mum had to sit in the bath with her bubbles to watch everyone getting ready. No not the bubbles in the bathwater, I meant the drinking kind ha ha!
We also visited the guys to capture their last stages of getting ready. They were definitely in great spirits and a fun bunch to photograph.
Sophie’s dad was very excited to see his daughter in her dress the first time, what a moment to witness…
After the ceremony we ventured into the Green’s beautiful woodland for some couple portraits. I had a great time working with Chris from Babalu films again. It’s been years we worked together last. I’m usually working on my own and it’s refreshing working with videographers, when its the right ones…working as a team can refresh or ignite your creativity!
After the speeches we went back outside for a sparkler exit whilst The Green team cleared the barn for the evening entertainment. With it getting dark so early in December the party got in full swing pretty early and the dance floor was soon filled with everyone dancing. Benedict’s dad was the star of the evening with showing off some impressive dance moves and ending up on the floor several times! I don’t want to know how his hangover felt like the next day…
So here you go, the last wedding in 2021, some of my favourite shots from the day below.

Cornwall Elopement Photographer at Tremenheere Sculptured Gardens // Nuala & Daniël
Magical Cornwall Winter Elopement Photography at Tremenheere Sculptured Gardens
Nuala and Daniël opted for a runaway wedding at Tremenheere Sculptured Gardens in Cornwall. This beautiful garden on the South Coast is is a real Cornish Gem. You could believe you are somewhere on a tropical island, so beautiful! Nuala and Daniël were blessed with a relative mild and dry day for December so they had an outdoor ceremony in the Pagoda on top of the hill overlooking St Michael’s Mount, which was wrapped in a mystical mist that day. It really was a fairytale elopement wedding and you wouldn’t believe it was Winter!
Here is a small collection of my favourite photos from the day…Nuala and Daniël, thanks again for letting me document your truly magical day…

Devon Wedding Photographer Tunnels Beaches // Sarah & Tristan
Sarah and Tristan’s storm Arwen wedding at the stunning Tunnels Beaches in North Devon was a pleasure to photograph!
I couldn’t wait for this one, I wanted to tick Tunnels Beaches wedding venue up in North Devon off my bucket list since ages. I have seen stunning photos from this place and was so excited when Sarah and Tristan booked me for their special day there. The beach with it’s puddles and dramatic rock formations looks like something out of another world. And the architecture of the actual venue nestled into the cliff is just stunning.
We didn’t plan for storm Arwen with 60 mph plus north westerly winds and heavy downpours though! However I heard that Sarah and Tristan wanted their special day to be stormy to give it that little bit extra drama. They met sailing and love the sea, the wilder the better!
Sarah’s dad was a bit concerned how he would get his daughter safely through the tunnel without the wind messing up her outfit. The direction somehow made the wind funnel through the tunnel and it was a struggle to walk through it! He had a plan: He looked for the biggest umbrella in the house to hold it as a shelter in front of them. I was slightly concerned the thing would be strong enough and not collapse. But he got her to the other side safely and hair, dress and makeup were still in place.
The ceremony was held on the first floor overlooking the sea. It was somehow cosy in there with the warm lights and the wild sea smashing against the shore just beneath you and the just 15 guests were just enough to fill the room nicely.
Sarah’s dad is a professional photographer too, oh yes, pressure on, ha ha! No honestly a bit if pressure makes me work even better and he really understood what’s needed to assist me to get the right shots. Photography was one of the top most important things for their very special day. I totally agree, after all the day goes by so fast and the photos are the one thing you have left as a memory to treasure for years to come. After the ceremony we had to wait for a dry spell in between the heavy showers to venture to the beach for the couple portraits. Thankfully Sarah and Tristan were so keen to get some stunning shots that they were super flexible with their schedule. And we were lucky! We had ca 30 minutes without rain, the tide was just right and even the sun came out for a brief glimpse helping me to produce some dramatic shots. I’m super pleased with the results and I hope you are too.
Here is a small preview for you, Sarah and Tristan! As I promised just before Christmas….I hope you like what you see.

Cornwall Seaside Wedding at Talland Bay Hotel // Chris & Jo
Chris and Jo’s Seaside Wedding at the eclectic and stylish Talland Bay Hotel on the Cornish Southcoast
It’s been a while sine I last photographed a wedding at Talland Bay Hotel. With it’s stylish eclectic interior and landscaped gardens overlooking Talland Bay on the South Cornwall Coast it’s a real hidden gem. Jo and Chris were looking for something different for their wedding and didn’t like the corporate feel a lot of wedding venues offer. So they started to look for a Boutique Hotel in Cornwall where you can get married too and found Talland Bay, the perfect venue when you look for something stylish and a little different.
They were blessed with a beautiful sunny autumn day and we made the most out of the stunning gardens and afternoon light for the photos straight after the ceremony.
Meanwhile Damian Surr from Ginger Magic wowed the guests with his amazing tricks whilst The Beat London were playing an acoustic set followed by some great dance tunes in the early evening…
A great day to document and I’m super pleased to share some of my favourite shots with you here.

Wedding Photographer The Green Cornwall // Kadi & Ainsley
Kadi and Ainsley’s special day at The Green. It might have rained all day but they had the best day ever…
I was really looking forward to Kadi and Ainsley’s big day at The Green Cornwall. I met them last year during their mini break at Treyarnon Bay to take some family photos on the beach. They are such a lovely family and I couldn’t wait to document their special day after it was postponed in 2020 because of Covid.
Unfortuntaley it couldn’t have been any wetter, it rained the whole day and was getting thicker in the afternoon. So we had to improvise with the photos as high winds combined with downpours prohibited us to venture outside. We tried, but Kadi and Ainsley lasted 5 minutes and ran back in the cosy barn after their umbrella broke. Gladly The Green’s old rustic barn is a great place to play around for some portrait photos and they have told me they had the best day ever inspite of the weather…I’m so pleased for them!
So here you go, the long awaited sneak peak…

Autumn Wedding Photography at Knightor Winery in Cornwall // Viki & Martin
Viki and Martin’s stylish autumnal wedding at Knightor Winery. A picture perfect October wedding in Cornwall…
I couldn’t imagine a more picture perfect autumn wedding than Viki and Martin’s beautiful day at Knightor Winery in the heart of Cornwall. How gorgeous is their autumnal decoration with pumpkins, cones, dreamcatchers, rusty orange and earthy greens! And it goes so well with this rustic barn venue.
They were blessed with a sunny and mild October day and could have their ceremony outdoors, which was an important element of their wedding day being quite outdoorsy oriented people. Their two dogs were well looked after by Sarah from ‘wedding day dog nanny’, she brought a bag full of treats and had two new friends within 5 minutes of her arrival. Whilst Ione did her magic with hair and makeup for the girls. She really is the best for a natural bohemian look!
After the ceremony I went for a walk through Knightor’s grounds for the couple portraits. I think autumn is my favourite season there!
This time of year it goes dark quite soon, so we could include the sparkler exit just before the evening entertainment which I think is a way better option than dragging everyone from the dancefloor to go outside at a later stage. Let the people dance once they’re enjoying themselves!
Here is a small selection of my favourites, it was a really hard choice as there were so many beautiful moments to choose from…

Cornwall Wedding Photographer at Knightor Winery // Lauren & Joe
Lauren and Joe’s beautiful autumnal wedding at Knightor Winery in Cornwall
Lauren and Joe tied the knot at Knightor Winery early October. I met the bridal party late morning for the getting ready shots in the old manor house. Lauren’s mum and dad told me they had a surprise for Lauren: her dad had a new tattoo on his arm just for his daughter’s special day. Lauren didn’t have an idea and it was a huge surprise, so special!
And Lauren’s little daughter Avda couldn’t hold back her tears when she saw her mum in her wedding dress the very first time…her words: ’ you loo so beautiful, mummy! ‘ Awwwwwww!
Such an emotional morning full of excitement and joy.
The ceremony was held in the barn and straight after we ventured out in the autumnal grounds for some photos. I love this time of year, the autumnal colours and light, it’s just so great for photos!
The party was in full swing when I left… such a good day to be a part of!
Sorry it took so long for the preview, I’m finally

Cornwall Wedding Photography at Lusty Glaze // Chelsea & Dan
Chelsea and Dan are one of my other Covid rollercoaster couples. They originally were supposed to get married last year, then had to postpone their wedding to this year August, only to find out that they tested positive and had to find a new date again in September. At least we managed to do an engagement shoot on Perranporth beach before all the chaos kicked in. I really enjoyed meeting the lovely pair at the time and was really looking forward to their wedding at Lusty Glaze. So I was even more disappointed when I had another wedding booked already for their final wedding date. Gladly the super talented Debs covered for me and did an amazing job documenting their small beach wedding here in Cornwall.
She met them for their bridal preparation photos at Tolcarne beach in the morning. The day looked promising, blue skies and sunshine all around. The ceremony was at 2pm at Lusty Glaze, actually it’s just the next cove. You can walk to it from Tolcarne beach on a low tide.
They had a relaxed family day on a private beach with just 30 guests, a super chilled day in a private cornish cove. What more could you ask for on your wedding day, good things come to those who wait!
A sneak peek here for you…

Wedding Photography Knightor Winery Cornwall // Harriet & Guy
Harriet and Guy’s beautiful autumnal wedding at Knightor Winery in Cornwall
Harriet and Guy got married start of October at Knightor Winery in Cornwall. The lovely pair are dairy farmers and are into hunting with their lovely bunch of dogs who sadly didn’t come to the wedding. Being the hunting kind they would have been a handful probably. I love it when a wedding is planned through to every little detail. It makes it so much more personal and unique and it reflects the couples lifestyle. The gorgeous decoration included red deer antlers, pheasant feathers and used rifle cartridges... This one definitely had a huge wow factor and the earthy colours were going well with the autumn theme and rustic cornish venue
I met the bridal party in the manor house late morning for their bridal preparation photos, a chilled atmosphere and relaxed morning with champagne toasts and tears of joy when Harriet opened her little present from her future hubby…so sweet! The guys were all super chilled too, I guess because one of the ushers is a ‘tie specialist’ and helped everyone out with the sometimes demanding task…
The ceremony was held in the barn and had a beautiful festive feel to it, I somehow had a first vibe of Christmas, a bit early I know!
Unfortunately we didn’t get the sunny day we were hoping for, but it stopped drizzling for a bit in the afternoon, so we ventured out for some great portraits in Knightor’s stunning grounds.
Just after the sparkler exit in the courtyard Robin from Fistral Stereo got the dance floor going for all ages…
A great day to document and I’m super excited to share a small preview with you guys…
