Photography for a small winter wedding at Knightor Winery // Aaron & Ellie
Ellie and Aaron were married in between Christmas and New Year at Knightor Winery in Cornwall. They opted for a no fuss small wedding with just their nearest and dearest. I love capturing smaller weddings, they have such a lovely personal touch to them and adding a bit of late december festive flair with Knightor’s beautiful lit up courtyard and rustic walls you can really create some magic.

A very intimate wedding with lots of emotion and tears of joy from both sides, the couple and their guests. This wedding coverage was a half day package including bride getting ready images and a sparkler exit. They didn’t have a first dance. So you can create quite a nice collection in just 5-6 hours.
It was an honour capturing your wonderful day, Ellie and Aaron. Here is a little sneak peek
If you’re looking for a photographer for your small wedding or elopement in Cornwall please contact me for availability and an informal quote. My 2025 diary is filling up but I have a few dates left for smaller weddings.

Why Autumn is a great season to plan your Wedding
There's something about the cooler season that makes things more intimate and romantic. I love autumn, the colours, the light, the ambience. There's something about the cooler season that makes things more intimate and romantic. I love autumn, the colours, the light, the ambience. It is certainly the season which brings a certain creative flair to weddings and out of a photographer’s perspective it is a great season to plan your wedding, I have listed a few reasons why …
Autumn Colors: Is there anything more beautiful than nature at its best? The colours of autumn never fail to make us feel inspired. Autumn leaves provide a natural backdrop for photos, and the season's colors can be used in flowers and decor. I personally love the warm, earthy autumnal colours, bright reds, vibrant oranges, rustic browns and warm yellows create the perfect backdrop for weddings.
The Atmosphere: Autumn and Winter evenings are longer and you can create atmospheric settings with candles, lanterns and fairy lights. Also you can have a sparkler exit leading into your evening entertainment instead of having to wait for it to get dark enough. And why not add some fire pits to your outdoor space, everyone loves a roasted marshmallow for some extra treats. There is something raw and natural sitting by the warmth of a fire. Roll on Log Burner Season!
Autumnal Decor: Autumnal décor is one of the main draws of people to get married at this time of year. Think rustic wood signs, pumpkins, hand dream stationary with leaves ornaments, mushrooms, twigs and colourful leaves, scented candles and fairy lights plus plenty more nature inspired items to create a truly whimsical autumn wonderland wedding. A feast for your photographer’s detail shots.
The Best Natural Lighting: We all heard of golden hour, the magical light just before sunset. This is at its most beautiful in autumn and it’s just at the right time in the afternoon. Mix the golden light with golden autumn leaves and your photographer can create magical photos.
Fresh produce: Autumn is harvest season for many fruits and vegetables, which can be used in your wedding food. From mulled wine and cider, a smokey whisky to delicious meals incorporating tastes of cinnamon, apple and nutmeg, autumn weddings really give couples the opportunity to offer a unique dining experience. And to be honest - it’s quite often all about the food!
Wedding Attire:
Autumn, it is truly the time to go bold and beautiful! Embrace the colors of the season and make it a running theme for your decor and clothes choice. Think gorgeous earthy tones for your bridesmaid dresses and embrace rustic reds, burnt oranges or deep burgundy’s. Seasonal flowers in the autumn are also stunning and it’s easy pairing them with similar tone gowns and décor to bring it all together into your autumnal wedding vision.
Empty Beaches:
We all love a beach wedding, but the reality is Devon and Cornwall’s beaches can be super busy in Spring and Summer and it’s hard to find a quiet corner for some great portrait photos sometimes. When the season draws to a close and the days get colder the beaches get quieter, which means you can have a whole beach by yourselves without an expensive exclusive hire of a beach wedding venue with a private beach. The opportunities for photos are plenty which results in better imagery. Let’s face it, who wants a whole town of wind breakers in the background or men in speedos running past their wedding photos!
Better Deals:
Another huge benefit is the cost factor. If you choose an autumn date rather than a peak season summer date for your wedding you might be able to secure better rates on your hotel, band, car hire and photographer etc. Weddings are expensive and every little saving helps to plan the wedding of your dreams.
So if you’re planning an autumn wedding the next 2 years, please contact me for availability and prices. 2025 is filling up fast but I have also opened my 2026 diary. I have a huge list of suppliers if you need any help with your planning.

A few highlights from Mims and Sam’s wedding at Knightor Winery back in September. Bless them, it did rain all day, but it wouldn’t stop them having a great time. It shows that if you just roll with it, it really doesn’t matter as all your loved ones are under one roof having a great time with you and celebrating you! We even managed to sneak outside for some photos in some of the venue’s sheltered spots. Definitely one of my wettest days at this venue ever but nevertheless what a lovely day to capture!

An absolute stunner to share with you today! Megan & Marc‘s jaw dropping beautiful beach wedding at Lusty. With the most handsome ring bearer, their beloved rescue dog ‚Juniper‘. He’s done a great job even though he is a little shy around a lot of people. So adorable though, you just want to stroke him all day long… I feel truly blessed with my job when I look back at days like these. I even witnessed their very private vows in a Lusty cave during our photo session and it brought a little tear in my eyes.
Here is a little preview of the day.
If you are planning a beach wedding at Lusty Glaze or anywhere else in Cornwall or Devon next year, please don’t hesitate to contact me about availability as I only have a few spaces left next year.

Wedding Photography Sandycove North Devon // Rachel & Mandeep
Rachel and Mandeep's fun and colourful wedding at Sandycove Hotel in North Devon. Always a pleasure shooting a wedding on the north Devon Coastline, I love it up there and always try and stay a couple of days if I can
This spot of coast is just divine. I love the North Devon Coastline, so much that I made a ling weekend out of it. I stayed on a campsite literally 15 minute walk from the hotel. A stunning walk through the clifftop woodland and enjoyed a swim in the same cove I took this gorgeous couple for photos the next day.
Rachel and Mandeep said ‘I do’ at Sandycove Hotel with a whole lot of good friends and family. Such a colourful and amazing day to capture!
Here is a little preview for you, I hope you like it as much as I did capturing this stunning wedding. I love my job!

Dan & Harrie // Wedding Photographer at Caerhays Estate - The Lookout
Dan and Harrie's small and intimate wedding at the stunning Caerhays Estate Lookout. A location on a my bucket list for a long time. So good to finally shoot a wedding there!
Dan and Harrie opted a for a small family affair at the stunning Caerhays Estate Weddings - The Lookout. Not so much a coastal lookout when we first arrived in the Cornish Mist, you couldn’t even see the sea! I was a bit disappointed to be honest as it was my first time shooting a wedding there and I was a long time looking forward to this one. Magically not long after the ceremony the mist disappeared and we even had a few glimpses of sunshine which made this beautiful stretch of coast even more dramatic in a way. What a stunning micro wedding to play a part in. Here is just a small taster of the day

Wedding Photographer Stennack Farm Cornwall // Zoe & Matt
Zoe and Matt's beautiful rustic style wedding at Stennack Farm Cornwall.
What a fantastic day at Stennack Farm! So good to be back shooting a wedding here. I love the laid back rustic feel and Zoe and Matt’s day was just amazing!
A little bit of drizzle on the way back from the church ceremony at St Stithian’s church but as soon as we were back and ready for photos the sun made an appearance again and it turned into a fine day and evening. Everyone enjoying the warmth of a summer’s evening, kids going crazy in the Bouncy Castle, good food, good music and good people. I’m feeling truly blessed to have been a part of their special day.
Here is a a small selection of my favourite photos…so many more…but these will have to do for now

Wedding Photographer Falmouth Cornwall, Trefusis Estate // Poppy & Alex
Poppy and Alex didn’t let the Cornish Mizzle spoil their day. A beautiful marquee wedding at Trefusis Estate near Falmouth overlooking the Fal Estuary.
Poppy and Alex were married in Falmouth at King Charles Church. It’s right in the middle of the high street and with the wedding being in the middle of busy summer season they had quite a few spectators!
The reception was held at the beautiful Trefusis Estate in a stunning vintage style marquee overlooking the Fal Estuary. Hazel Parsons managed everything and made sure all was running smoothly. It was great working with her again, it’s been a while…
Unfortunately it was a pretty overcast day with showers, but it didn’t spoil the atmosphere and spirit of the day. Nevertheless the Cornish mizzle, it was a wonderful day to capture and I’m pleased to show you how even a rainy day can be the best day ever!
Here is a selection of my favourites
